Georg von Kuenburg - Talerklippe 1586 bei Gorny.
Eine der seltensten Salzburger Münzen, die Talerklippe 1586 (Schaumünze zum Regierungsantritt) des Erzbischofs Georg von Kuenburg, der nach nur 8 Monaten Regierung verstarb, wird am 10. Oktober bei Gorny in München versteigert. Die Klippe, die zu den hervorragenden Salzburger Raritäten zählt, wird bei Gorny folgendermassen beschrieben: “Nr.: 5114, Georg von Küenburg, 1586-1587. Talerklippe 1586. 28.80 g. Wappen mit Legatenhut und Kreuz, Krummstab. / Die Heiligen Rudbert und Virgilius mit ihren Attributen einander zugewandt sitzend. 41×41 mm, 28,8 g. BR. 1509a. Probszt 691. Dav. 8178 Anm. . Diese Talerklippe, während der nur achtmonatigen Amtszeit von Erzbischof Georg geprägt, befindet sich bereits seit 1797 im Besitz der Familie des Einlieferers. Zustand: RRR!
